I always get a little antsy at the beginning of a new year. My response is usually to cast on several new knitting projects. This year is no exception. My husband and I got some good news, which we'll share when we can, which drove some of my new projects. Thankfully, I finished some projects, too. As usual, I finished a Christmas gift after the start of the new year. It's a lovely
dovetail cowl knit from
Sweet Georgia Yarns superwash worsted that I purchased when I was visiting my son in Vancouver, BC. Wow, what wonderful, squishy, soft yarn! The yarn was great to work with. My son's girlfriend (the recipient of the late gift) was really happy with it. I also finished up my
color affection shawl. This has taken FOR-EV-ER to finish (a couple of years). It is beautiful and feels soft and lovely. It is super boring, although easy. All garter, all the time. YAWN.
